A Summer afternoon in Schwarzsee

no title lah.

Anyway today was like the longest day ever. (eee, I sound like a bimbo) I:

1) woke up late

and hence was late to meet the Swiss babes to pay for our air tickets all the way in Raffles Place. But it didn't matter because most of them were late ANYWAY. haha!

2) met with the Darlings to celebrate Banz' birthday!

How fun la! Well I especially liked the part where Sam and I went shopping for Banz' birthday present! Since he has a weird affinity for snails, I totally fell in love with this snail-print tee at Topman! It was totally love at first sight laaaa!

Ok I'm mad.

Anyway while at Esprit, we chanced upon the most hideous thing ever. And to think we actually gave it the potential to be in Syaban's cupboard.

How gross laa! haha! Lucky for Syaban, neither of us were in a THAT giler mood. If we really bought that ahhh, hahaha! omg la. Have fun dia pakai.

Okay super tired. FOC islandwide reccee tomorrow!

SAtays!

While I was sms-ing all of them the meeting time and place, I was pretty sure I missed someone out. Ir-phoenixclaw-wan wasn't coming because he had duty, so I finally realised its LYDIA! We miss you babe! :(

Anyway, it was pigging out time at Seoul Garden! Zat and Suff were late, as usual, but okay I forgave them because Zat was looking for a purple rose for me! How sweet right. hahaha. But in the end the florist at Orchard was closed. Nevermind Zat, it was still a great date. :D

Anyway! As usual, pictures!

Baba and Halim!

Oh plus we ALL know what happens when Baba eats right. This was NO exception.

us! :)

Loves.

Camwhoring.

And Suff is MAD (and gay). I'm 8367458376429374239874% convinced now.

Eww. Gross.

Haha! thanks for today guys. It was great. I'm missing all of you already!

Team Programmes!

I've been blogging like 984375928349283742398729387428364732673624 times a day because life is suddenly so eventful. haha.

I had FOC meeting today again, with my favourite programmers. Well it was 4/5 of the team since Ahmad had tuition. Man do I love the team or WHAT!

Thanks to these two, MY phone is flooded with their faces. Thanks for cam-whoring ah. WHAT is it with MY phone mann! Leave it alone!

We finally have a solid plot and it all ends well, so hopefully the others will like it when we tell them during GM on Monday. AND! While we were discussing Nitewalk, Liza had some plan for one of the stations and our dear boss Muz-berselimut-zamil froze in fear! Well, that was BEFORE he shut his eyes throughout the rasuk video that Atikk played, AND attempted to change the subject 92837423462736437 times.

Uber funny stuff.

Well we left for lunch after 3.5hours of meeting at Al-Falah.

Liza left to go DATING. So it was Muzzy-Wuzzy, Atiqah and I. Haha, it was great lah. Then Atikk left for her theatre stuff, I had to go for class and Muzz went to watch XMen, I think. And oh, Muzzamil's one of the few guys I know who says "Assalamualaikum" before parting ways! Wow! haha! Slightly impressive.

OMG la. Check this out.

Of guys in uni.

I think its great that when we girls enter university, the guys in our matriculation batch are two years older. Because as much as i deny it, they ARE more mature and experienced than us girls. Really. No matter how much sometimes I think we girls behave more maturely. haha.

But that's besides the point.

Its a great feeling to for once talk rationally and honestly with a 22 year old. I mean, it DID make me think at one point or another. It helped me sort out my thoughts that are always in a mess, which is why I can't blog coherently. I think I need an organizer for my brain la. And it helped me see the big picture that was once cloudy and hazy.

So whatever it is, the guys in uni ARE really like your abang-abangs. They're great, really.

Awww right, I know. Hey its not everyday I admit that they're great you know.

Haha so to the two of you, thanks. I'm sure you know who you are. :)

A day in a life of a housewife.

So I finally got down to baking yup. I wanted to bake butter cookies, just because I simply LOVE butter cookies. It was cool lah, making the cookie dough and all. UNTIL I found food colouring! I got excited and starting putting red colouring into one batch of dough. So the cookies in that batch turned out nice and brown with pink swirls.

So my Einstein (or lack of) mind decided to experiment and be "creative" with the colours. I mixed the red with blue, in the hope i'll get nice pastel purple cookies. For SOME incomprehensible reason at that moment, purple biscuits seemed aesthetically pleasing to me.

That, my friends was the BIGGEST mistake I'd made in my entire life. Because the cookie dough turned into a really weird purplish colour with streaks of red and blue, like blood vessels. It looked like a huge bruise on Barney. So I had NO choice. I didn't want to put more colouring because I was afraid I'd make mutant cookies and they'd start tasting like some internal organ. No choice la, cut cut cut the dough and shove them into the oven.

This was how they turned out.

(you cant see the pink swirls)

And...

DONT laughhh!

Ah sigh. Lesson learnt. Next time dont mess with food colouring. Just use red. So anyway, there was a new tin of Hershey's cocoa powder in the cabinet sooooooo, i ended up making brownies as well!

YEY! The cookies tastes great, btw. Just have to shut your eyes when you eat it.

As of now, I just finished folding one huge stack of laundry, while watching the rerun of idol on starworld. I swept the floor, made lunch, settled my huge stack of lecture notes, hung the comforter and now i'm blogging.

Anyone wanna marry me?

Till next season.

Ah, idol is over. Loved loved loved the finale!

Well mainly because hothotHOT Chris is back, looking as hot as ever.

LHS, not RHS, thanks.

Ah. Guys in (1)black. (2)Longsleeve. Nothing can go wrong, I swear.

Oh Chris, how I've missed you so.

I can't find photos of him in the black tux. Ah sigh.

And of course, the one and only Taylor Hicks.

OH and MY favourite part of the show HAS to be the CLAY/MICHAEL showdown.

AND WHAT is up with Clay's new hairdo man!

Am I the only one who thinks he looks feminine? haha!

Argh. No more Idol! I feel the void already! Do I hear Singapore Idol? haha that one is a joke la.

Sheesh.

my sister: (excitedly) Kak! This morning I had a war with a cockroach! It was this big. (about 1.5cm in length). I could pick it up la, but I didn't want to (bedekkkkkkkkk). So I sprayed water and cornered it. Then I sprayed some more and it overturned. Then I sprayed it over to the hole-hole part (the shower drain) and I made the head stuck in the hole. Then after that I sprayed from above and it went through the hole.

me: Uhh, so you're telling me because?

my sister: Exciting what! (then she proceeds to skip away)

HOLE-HOLE PART!!! WOW! And to think she's FIFTEEN!

High time.

This morning I woke up to an sms from Miss irma-with-almost-perfect-CAP-susanti.

Irma: Babe, can I have your mailing address?

Me: -sleepily types out address- Babe, kau kahwin eh?

Irma: Aku pelan2 kayuh ah babe. Its my BROTHER's wedding invitation, btw.

Yey! jemputan jemputan! -dances around-

---

Ah! I visited the SAJC website a few days ago, to you know, update myself on whats happening over there. Wow and I felt proud to know that SA won the Police Cup, defeating RJ 15-10! Woohoo! Baik Saints.

Sheesh I really miss staying back after school to watch the matches.

Will never forget the match that made my heart skip a beat. Seeing my favourite rugger down on the field. And then taken out of the match because the injury was serious. Ahh sigh.

Its a pity I never really got to witness the ruggers doing the hakka but I guess this will do.

"We are arming for the fight,
Pressing on with all our might,

Pluming wings for higher flight,
UP and ON!"

I had NO idea the school song could sound like a warcry. haha!
---

Something is really wrong with me! Those who know me will KNOW that I don't take naps! However, while I was folding the entire stack of laundry, I fell ASLEEP! for at least an hour! Aper ni!

See, why I don't take naps is because they will mess up my body clock! Then I won't be able to sleep at night, etc etc. Argh, this is bad.

And for some strange reason, the song that's on repeat mode in Windows Media Player is Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D! WOW! Since when do I listen to classical? Its been playing the whole day! Like when Oasis starts playing, I'll stop Oasis and replay Canon in D!

Anyway, I was sick of the whole picture-out-my-window thing so I made another one to usher in the world cup! haha I have another one which maybe I'll use to dress up my blog DURING the world cup. Okay la I'm mad. And I can't wait for the world cup to start anyway!

Ahh, today is SUCH a weird day. I have NO idea why. Even I feel weird.

Maybe I should go for a jog tomorrow.

Lonely night.

My lonely night will start today. :(

My beloved sister is away on her NCC camp. Mockspecs, they call it. WTH! Specs course also need mock ah! So yesterday night she was mugging for her GSK test. APER NI! Mug for a test for NCC camp! OMG LA.

Wah totally totally, she looks quite smart in her No. 3 also. I saw her while I was taking wudhu this morning for Subuh. Shall sneak some photos when I can.

So the bed will be extra big tonight. :(

And I can't do this to her (to annoy her)

Once I did that and she calmly said "kak, if you don't remove your hand in the next few seconds, when you wake up tomorrow, you'll be breathing through a tube.."

WOW THANKS.

(i shan't post ain's pic due to certain reasons. hahah)

SEE! all brown!

I was scared that would happen for the Marketing gathering later so I changed colour. haha.

ah how i love them so.

and finally, after 238742938792385792387498327432987 yrs and 92872398742398752398742398744 meetings, we finally have a group photo!

You know what. Above all I really kesian the guys, cos they have to tolerate Sam+yana+diatch's kecoh-ness. I mean, I'm the quiet, nice, caring, compassionate (??!) one lor.

The movie I've been waiting for.

Well its true, I've been waiting for the DaVinci Code movie to be out ever since I finished the book. I watched it today, I JUST got back, actually.

So anyway, the movie was disappointing! It really was! I expected more out of it, considering its directed by Ron Howard and all. The book had two cryptex-es, the movie only showed one. The whole discovery of the "O Draconian Devil! Oh Lame saint!" was not as great as how Dan Brown described it in the book, so was how they figured out Sauniere's account number and all.

My favourite part was the cryptex part! How could they omit the first cryptex! AND, I don't think the revelation of 'the Teacher" was as exciting as how Dan Brown did it in the book. It was more of.. "oh, so HE's behind it.." Wasn't that hebat lah.

AND! OMG the ending at the Rosslyn Chapel was arghhhhh frustrating! I mean, the docent was supposed to be cute and have something to do with the whole story anyway. And the scene at the Rosslyn Chapel was supposed to be heart wrenching and sad and touching...arghhh.

See ah, the nenek was supposed to be weeping in some room and Sophie was watching her through a glass door of some sort. BUT in the movie, it was more of some nenek appearing out of nowhere and suddenly "ehh! kau cucu aku eh!? aku nenek kau tau!" and that's about it.

And the worst part of all, Robert Langdon was supposed to ask Sophie out on a date! And intip and all ah, but mannn, Tom Hanks just kissed Audrey's forehead. aper ni!! I mean, it would have been great if they fell in love! duh! Sudahlah, Ron Howard, step aside! haha!

Haha, okay I'm mad. However, I'm in love with SILAS! He's great, although his scenes made me cringe ALOT. When he tightened the cilice and all. Silas is great. I thought Paul Bettany really brought justice to Silas' character.

Ouhh ouhh and the really great part was how the movie ended, with Robert back in Paris in the Ritz...wow that part was really great. I mean, it gave a clearer picture than what I read in the book. Yup so all in all, it was great...just not satisfying. Both the start and the ending was great though.

So movie? or book?

Book, anytime.

WOW!

I find this VERY interesting. I was just checking out the solat times for when I get to Switzerland.

Lets look at the 6th of July. In Fribourg.

Subuh: 2.59 am

WOW. Switzerland is 6 hours behind Singapore. Which means when its 9am here, its time for me to wake up and do subuh there. PLUS I have to wake up at 3am to solat!!!! Please alarm clock, do not fail me.

Zohor: 1.36pm (not much difference)

Asar: 5.48pm

Mahgrib: 9.28 pm (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Isyak: 12.12am (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Which means, when people in Singapore are Subuh-ing, its time for me to Isyak! WOW! coolness coolness.

And OMG. Imagine if this is a day in Ramadan! You can only break fast at 9.30pm and by 3am your fast starts again!

Baikkkk. But its also good in a sense that I don't really have to solat on the go. I can do it in the comfort of the hostel.

The Kero Test, for girls.

Haha I know I have been blogging alot, I don't know why! Just things that I feel like I HAVE to take down, cos it DID have an impact on me. haha, no matter how merepek.

So anyway, I was out with Baba, Ain and Shah just now, to do some, uhh, shopping. ( I didn't buy anything, THANK GOD) So we were sitting at Lido and talking. Suddenly our ever favourite topic of colin-and-kero came out.

Ain was telling us that Kero just updated the couple blog, about his past boyfriends and whatnots. (yes they're gays) So anyway, Kero mentioned that one of his ex-boyfriends was a Malay guy named Wawan.

So she came up with THE KERO TEST.

Its a very simple test, to eliminate your liebling as that Wawan dude. If you're afraid that your dear boyfriend MIGHT be that Wawan guy (or you just wanna test), just suddenly shout "Wawan!" when he has his back turned. If he answers your divine call, jengjengjeng....

Don't say I didn't warn you.

MWAHAHAHA.

Okay sorry la, we're really bored. Today has been..confusing.

FOC 2006!

Today was our very first meeting and I thought it was really well-chaired and we were focussed and got alot of things done. It was great.

You know everytime I think of FOC I'll be reminded of how fated I really am with Atikk. You see, last FOC Atikk and I were coincidentally put in the same room, that made us room mates. As if that wasn't enough, the next day after breakfast, when we were fishing for cards to be separated into our OGs, I WAS IN THE SAME OG WITH ATIKK! OMG.

And today, we found out our respective posts, and guess what! I'm in the Programmes comm with ATIKK (and Liza, Ahmad and Muzzamil [omg I almost typed out his nama timangan])!

OMG LA. APER NI!

I think if atikk was a guy, I would marry her. We're too fated, all these HAS to be signs, right? Plus she DID enjoy holding my hand romantically(thats what she called it) during our ice skating escapade. (Jangan deny Atikk. Matikk kau.) But on second thought, taknak ah. haha.

Oh wells. FOC will be a blast. A pity I won't be there though. But nevermind, they have a solid Programmes comm, so it'll be great.

I'm so sorry to see you go. We all know you shouldn't have left. We all know Katharine should have been eliminated.

You were great.

You have the greatest, most perfect jambang ever

AND you have great arms

And the bestest shaven head ever

AND you're incredibly HOT.

Did I mention that you're HOT?

So anyway, I'm SO sorry that I called you bapak instant during the qualifying rounds because I really didn't know your name, because I was so terharu by your hotness. (dammit he's married)

Sheesh, get a grip! haha. I'm SO sad that Chris is OUT of Idol. I'm officially in mourning. Baba and (m)Atikk were equally shocked when we watched the results just now at my place after our ice skating escapade.

I am TOO heartbroken to blog about the great ice skating trip just now, but I will tomorrow la ok! Need to photoshop the pictures and all.

Eh sorry, this is supposed to be to Chris. So anyway Chris, have a nice day. And this is my ultimate favourite of your performance.

To the 3 people who planned my death.

Ah how I've missed hanging out with these 3 people. Now that school's ended I don't get to see them on a daily basis anymore. I mean, yeah there's Shah -falls asleep- and theres dazril -falls asleep- online, but I have NO idea where Alfons disappeared to man, although he did sms me yesterday. (okay okay, I'm JUST kidding about the falling asleep ah!)

So anyways, heres a list of memorable quotes that I took down whenever I felt like taking down. How merepek. haha!

Dazril: Why doesn't she come for lecture?
Me: Cos she doesn't like you.
Dazril: (matter-of-factly)No, that's impossible.

Dazril: Shah nyanyi ahhhhh
Shah: Nooooo!
Dazril: Why? Its going to rain anywayyy.

Shah: Eh how long is one meter?
Me: Uhh like this? -stretches out arm-
Shah: NOOOOO!
Alfian: Never mind lah amy, you just stand up, we can judge from there.

Shah: I'm going for chocolate buffet with my brothers!
Alfian: What is chocolate buffet? Means they let you eat chocolate?

Me: Eh where you guys going now?
Alfian: Uhh, solat ah i think..u?

Alfian: Really! Bila kau apply?!

Alfian: Eh nanti kau nak makan kat maner?

(And he goes on to take a pouty picture of himself on MY HANDPHONE)

(on his dance DEBUT mwahaha)
Dazril: my plan was to remain as invisible as possible
Dazril: But now I'm the bloody lead
Dazril: i know i'm hot n all but i dun like to show off

Too much time on our hands.

Okay. My sister came home very early today because she had one MCQ paper this morning. By 10+am she was already prancing around the house. Okay, kidding about the prancing. She entered the bedroom and hijacked my laptop. She usually uses my home comp in the study, and I'll use my laptop. So i had to use the home PC. bargh.

Well, when she uses my laptop, i have to tolerate her nonsense.

My laptop has the damn mic, which the PC doesn't. So she uses it to her advantage, duh.

So two sisters, separated by a small walkway in opposite rooms, chatting on MSN. How fun, right.

---

Irwan, yes THIS irwan

JUST smsed me saying that he got into NUS Science! And he will be doing Chem also! Mwahahaha. He was so panicky and stuff and he's NOT even matriculating this year. He'll only matriculate next academic year (07/08). So I told him la, not to worry because with nice seniors (MWAHAHA) like me around, life is good. MWAHAHAHAAHHA. Yessssla.

HAHA!

haha! you know Shah, Babs, Ain, Nat and I went out after the Bio paper right? So only Baba brought her cam and we took a couple of photos.

Yesterday I asked her for the photos and she told me it was blur. I was thinking maybe photoshop could do the trick. But when I got the photos. Muahahahahhaa. Photoshop also WON'T work! hhahaa. Check it out!

This is like, the clearest.

ANYWAYS, election results will be out tonight. MWAHAHA.

I'm just hoping WP gets to keep hougang. And Mr Chiam gets to keep his potong pasir (although PAP is confident of winning this time). Lets just face it la, we NEED the opposition.

Anyone heard what PM Lee said on the news yesterday? I thought it was pretty funny!

(On Opposition Rallies with MANY MANY people attending, like the Hougang one)

"My son came back home late one night and I asked him where he went. He told me he was at the Ang Mo Kio Workers' Party Rally with 20 of his friends. They all went in school uniform. I asked him what he was doing there. He said 'Oh, we went to listen'. So I asked him 'what did you hear?' He said 'Uhh, i also don't know what they were talking about. when they said something, the crowd cheered, so we cheered along also'. So I asked my son 'why don't you go for PAP rallies?' My son said 'PAP rallies are boring and logical' "

WTH MAN.

Aiyohh Mr PM, what are u trying to insinuate here?

Woohoo!

The exams are FINALLY over for me! Its not much of a relief because there's results for me to face. urgghh. But at least the stress of studying is gone for now.

CHECK OUT MY TABLE LA.

I'm SO TOTALLY ready to star in the next Bond movie.

I know, i know!

So anyways, Bio was pretty okay, considering it was OB AND MCQ. So it was pretty cool. Bumped into Naufal and Fadzrun after the paper while walking to RH busstop. Naufal was all smiles too.

Anyway, the babes and I (after so long) went to town! It was the usual kecohness and baba tripping and falling so it was great. Okay she didn't really fall, but tripped is the word.

Ahhh it feels SO great. I don't have to step busy on msn anymore! Well I put the busy status to make myself feel less guilty for being online during exam period. Its the same anyway, I still talk. haha.

So after hanging out with the babes, we shopped briefly. Well I didn't expect myself to buy anything because I haven't really decided what I want to buy. But still, a woman will spend money on something she doesnt need, because its price is being drastically reduced from 29 to 19 bucks! woohoo!

THEN, i made the fatal mistake of going to RGS to meet my sister. She told me to meet her there since my mum was going to fetch her anyway. I was at the busstop and I called my sister. She was at the nearby gym and came out to fetch me, DRAGGING me into the school compound.

OMG it felt horrible! I was on foreign land and not dressed the part and surrounded by kids. I wanted to bury myself beneath their 2lane, weirdly shaped track! And the worse part was, EVERYWHERE I walked my sister's friends were there. I mean I waved to those I know, and there were her platoon mates and her classmates. I was already malu nak mampos and there she was happily parading me making me walk the LONGEST route possible to the foyer.

Half the time it was "Hey jasmine! -points to me- Eh this is my sister!" "Hey natt! -points- my sister!" "Hey guys!! -points my sister!" and everyone "oh! you two look alike" and I was already wincing like some deranged dingbat begging for her to get me OUT of her school compound.

Where'd you go - Fort Minor

One of the best songs ever written.

Pardon the lack of updates. I, unlike MANY of the other undergrads STILL haven't finished my exams YET. GAHHH. Haha. Been busy reading up on Bio. Its a good thing it reminds me of Chem.

Enjoy the song, people!

Happy day! :D
