Brunch with my friend Baba.
Its always a great day when we eat together. After the Petah meeting at the ghastly hour of 8am, I was craving for Macs. So I dragged her down to Macs and as usual, start merepek lah. Shes probably the only one I know who eats hotcakes with her hands. And soaks the pancake in maple syrup. tsk tsk. Well the highlight of it all HAS to be her atrocious MERDU singing. She was yakking on about how this guy who was just a contractor, but earns a five figure sum per month.
Baba: The thing is, he fixes cables etc etc under the sea...
Me: Oh..co-
Before I could finish my sentence, her face turned serious and out of nowhere, she started singing "Under the seaaaa..."
WTHHHHH. And it was then that we both burst out laughing.
Sigh. Baba, baba. Nevermind lah, its still GREAT fun traumatising you.
I love traumatising people, you know! Its fun to see how they react. The best is to talk about guys, with guys. They'll get so sick and annoyed by your incoherent rants and swoons that they really just give up. Dazril WALKED away from me! Syaban just stopped layaning me. Ahh, the art of manipulating men. Speaking of manipulating men...
Once I was at my aunts place, and my dad happened to come with his 2 brothers for a 'family meeting' that I didn't know about. The thing is, I had to rush home, and it was getting late AND my dad DIDN'T drive. One of my uncles drove him there. Their 'family meetings' were always long and draggy and never ending, so I couldn't wait there for them to finish and let my uncle drive my dad and I home. It was either a cab, or train. Mind you, it was already past 9pm.
So I jokingly told my uncleS (to save money on cab fare) "aiya, one of you just lend me your car lah I'll drive myself home, then when you drive Daddy back home you can collect your car"
Almost instantaneously, the BOTH of them held out their car keys. "Nahh."
My dad's younger brother said "you wanna drive CRV right? Now's your chance. Go lah, save money on cab fare..nah take take.."
My dad's older brother said "aiyaa, my car toyota, easier to drive, nah, quick...you can drive lahh, really.."
WOW! I have power!
But the best thing in the world happened after that. My dad "ahhhh, nahh take this lah.." and pulled ten bucks from his wallet for me to take a cab. WOOHOO! I save money AND I don't have to drive in darkness and solitude along the SLE/BKE.
WOW!
I AM POWERFUL! The things guys do for love... Sigh. I love being a woman.
Its great, really.
