CHILDISH PEOPLE SHOULD NOT EXIST (in uni)

I am in school, blogging on Shah's laptop. I haven't had time to blog lately. Been busy with the workload. The workload of an undergraduate is seriously inhumane. JC has never looked so easy.

I have an online test to do.

I just had a lab session which, sigh. HAHA.

Anyways, one thing worth mentioning was SAM, which in my opinion, totally rocked. I thought the acting was superb, and some parts touched me.

Company was great, and that was one night that I did enjoy myself.

Deutsch test yesterday, which left me feeling quite angered. Chem test was bad because for the 1st time I couldn't do half the questions. ARGH. Who cares what happens when a bond forms and how the orbitals overlap? You can't even see it, so why botherrrrr. GRRRRRR.

Haha. Well. I guess a Chem Major SHOULD know that.

Oh, and you know what! My left eye has been twitching like no one's business since monday! Whyyyyy. Oh wells. I miss the open mic comm.

Okay nothing links around here. So I guess its a sign for me to go.

toodloo.

I am.

I am tired, busy, sleepy, stressed, occupied and teetering on the brink of insanity.

I have 3 tests, or quizzes, makes no difference what you call them because we all know its the same, next week.

All of which, I haven't studied for.

German which encompasses ALL we've learnt = death for me.

Chem = death

So bottomline, I think I'm screwed. Bad.

PLUS, I still have 3J AND NUSMS Gala dinner stuff to do.

Great Amy, great.

OMN 2!

OMN 2 had a larger turnout than expected. Most of the parts were fuzzy and messy, but I think all of us had a great time planning and executing it! I know I did. The comraderie, the friendship, the tears and joy will be something I would never forget for a long time. And InsyaAllah, the friendship is there to stay yups.

This one event introduced me to so many fantastic people and seniors, who truly deserve more than just praise. Bonds that I had previously formed with people were strengthened, and the new bonds that I formed with others made me feel really comfortable. Truly, one of the best feelings one could ever feel.

Before I lay out all the photos taken by the trusty + sneaky photolady ain, I just wanna give a biggggg hugggg to each and everyone in the Open Mic Comm, ShafNad, Kamie, Shafiza, Baba, Ain, Farah, Irma, Hanom and Janna! Thanks for all the hard work you guys put in, and of course another biggggg hugggg to the seniors for always being there for us, and encouraging us every step of the way -- Faizal, Fezhah, Siti and Kamal. I will miss the relek sua kambingsss. For sure.

Plus-sized hugs to my favourite boys Halim and Suff for being the emcees, Zat & Hirman for coming down yups. Some parts were a mini SA reunion.

Okay, one more huggggg for kamieeee, who saved me, in more ways than one ;) thanks babe.

Alright, I shall now lay out the whole barrage of photos taken by my trusty + sneaky photolady ain.

Let the attack of the camwhores begin!

Hanomm baueh, me, ain giler and baba kambing.

Door Bitches! (well trying to be, at least) love the banner!

My babes!

Ain, me and Baba!

happy people

Heh. =p

The emcees!

zahdan siols, fez and baba.

the orangs-orangs. Good turnout, I told you.

kamal-mr-nice-guy and zahdannn. ((nasib baik camera aku tak rosak zahdannnnnn.))

Team OMN! I love each and every single one of you!

All other photos are with me. Will bring the CompactFlash card. Ask alrights.

Baaaccckkkk.

Ahhh! Survivor's back on Channel 5! Isn't that swell? Something to look forward to on Friday Nights! Yeyyy.

Yes I am a sucker for reality TV.

Open Mic Night is tomorrow! Its looking swell, since Halim and Suff are being total darlings by being our guest Emcees. Yeyy. InsyaAllah things will be fine.

I will be back tomorrow with pictures and updates!

Promise, promise. I am so busy nowadays, no time to check emails. I have 56 unread. And a great headache.

I love my OMN Comm.

The favourite spot

Here I am again at my favourite spot beside the water cooler overlooking LT25 on a hot hot morning. Yes I am waiting for my prac to start in about an hour and a half. I've been so busy with Open Mic Prep that I don't even have time to check my email. Just yesterday-- I did not check my email, and voila! 42 unread messages await me.

Open Mic Prep has been a challenge. Keeping the team together is another issue. I know it is normal to have people back out, but I don't exactly think it feels good. To know that people are backing out when you and other teammates are doing all they can to hold it together. It has been stressful for me. And oh well, the politics.

But I'm satisfied that we are all back together, as one, stronger than ever to make this event a huge success.

----

German Vocab test was surprisingly okay. After I forgot what a ball-point pen was. And I spelt bruder as brudder. Too much mat-talking lah, I guess. Haha.

----

After Baba sent me the Tarian video of us Malay-dancing in JC2 for Chinese New Year, I've been watching it quite alot lately. It is amusing. Plus, it brings back all the memories. And it is one of the things that would make me smile.

Oh wells. I have a pre-lab to read up on and I've got a math test to study for. Oh, not forgetting a math tutorial to complete by today.

Singapore's Dumbest Criminal

Well, this entry is inspired by a show I watched once when I was on holiday in the States. The show was called "America's Dumbest Criminals" and I think Singaporean criminals are no different. Well, some of them.

I mean, it takes a serious lack of something -- to commit a murder, meticulously cleaning the disembodied parts, ensuring no prints are left behind, and instead of dumping it in a foresty area, you dump it in of all places -- ORCHARD FREAKING ROAD.

Well, DUH!

Well, maybe the killer got a tad bit smarter when she/he dumped it at MacRitchie, but still, there are people there!

The last time I checked, when someone commits a murder, he/she tries to remain as far away as they can from the authorities. I don't think that means dumping body parts in the most happening part of Singapore, immediately alerting the authorities! Why couldn't the murderer have dumped it at the rubbish dump or something?

And well, after all the hard work of cleaning the body, you put it in a bag, which I guess you forgot to remove the label which has your name AND address.

Geniuses, we have here. Total geniuses.

Well, I am not encouraging crime here, but duh, I don't think it takes much brains to ensure no one knows whodunnit, right?

Start off by not dumping the deceased in a place like Orchard Road.

Well, well, well. So much for Singapore being a safe place, when every other week or month we have body parts popping up here and there, islandwide. Sigh.

I just know it.

You know you're getting used to life in NUS when...

You attempt to board SBS buses by the back door.

and

Public transport = taxi

I am so used to just boarding the internal Shuttle buses in NUS by the back door. Lazy to wait at the front. -shrugs-

So today after german, I was waiting for the 96 to take me to Clementi and when the bus came to a halt at the bus stop, I instinctively paused at the rear door, then immediately realising that it is a public bus.

However, I was so lazy to take a bus. Several times I was tempted to cab home. As if I've got so much money. Hence, brings me to my second point that public transport only comes in one form, and that is the taxi. Since Macs in NUS already charges less for a meal, why can't taxis that enter NUS charge a lower student fee.

Grr.

Okay, okay, back to OMN prep. Just felt like showcasing my bimboness to the world. For a split second.

Looking up.

It is almost 8 and I have been sitting at the study benches outside LT25 (my ultimate favourite spot) for at least 40 minutes. I have a Lab session at 9 and I am supposed to be reading up on the experiment.

Guess I am not.

I want to get a blue-tooth enabled phone! So I can blog more effectively! What is the relevance, you ask? Well, with a blue-tooth enabled phone, I can take pictures on the phone, and send it to my laptop without the hassle of GPRS charges. Geddit, geddit? -nudgenudge-

So anyways, school's been fun. Its been a great week, made more friends and the like. ;) I just am uber stressed out by the second open mic. Actually I really have no idea why there are two open mics. Shouldn't one be enough? As in, we have to come up with objectives and stuff, so I ask back, what is the objective of having two open mics? -scratches head-

Stress stress.

It is raining, cold and wet. Such nice weather to sleep in, not typing away on my laptop on some bench in school. Anyhoos. I've got the keypad of my laptop to keep myself warm. Lappy's heating up rather fast these days. Maybe he/she/it is running a fever. Lappy is the name given to my laptop, for those aloof.

Oh well. Back to work, before I blow up the lab or something. How embarassing that would be. I shudder at the thought.

Open Mic Night!

Saturday was a blast! Thanks to all who came! And to those who didn't, WHY?!

I must really praise my team because it is all of them who made this possible and a rawkin good time.

The banner was so meticulously painted, I was overwhelmed.

That's Wan Tabr singing. His voice. Is amazing. Not to forget his nifty guitar moves.

That's Atikk rehearsing a last minute open-to-the-floor performance, Kamal, and me publicly displaying my truckload of fats.

It is now time for the photo whores. I hold no responsibility for any loss of sight.

farah the sound lady, ain, baba, atikk, yours truly.

My other PD, nadia the model cum doctor and Kamieeeeee.

Nadia the model-cum-doctor, ain, me, hanom baueh, baba and kamieeeee

My babes.

Our lepak bawah block concept.

Yeyyyy. I'm happy. Now another round of headache. We have to plan for Open Mic Night 2. Which is on 17th September! So please do come, details will be up soon!

Whee.

Time for my macs meal.

Some publicity.

Hey guys! Wondering why I've been so busy?

Well, THIS is why! And its all happening on the third of September, this Saturday at the NUS forum! If you're wondering where that is, just take 96 from Clementi MRT station/ bus interchange and stop when you see Block ADM! (that's the second stop after it enters NUS!)

Do come down and support me and my team as it is our first PB event. Make that the First Seni event.

Hope to see you there!

Be a darling and help publicise this event for me! Thankers lots guys.

School has been a rush. So much work to do, so little time. So this is how uni life is supposed to be. But then again, amidst the rush, it is fun as well.
