The longest blog post in the world.

----

I'm SO psyched. Nervous, excited, scared all rolled in one.. This would be my first time travelling without the folks so airport stuff like check-in and getting boarding passes, stuff that my mum would usually do, I have to do it myself now. But its not so bad, since I'm travelling with 4 other girls, I hope.

Anyway, the immersion is in the town of Fribourg (say Fry-berg for german, or Free-Boor for french), which sadly doesn't have an airport so I have to take a train from Zurich.

I'll be staying here when I arrive in Fribourg on the 30th June.

I probably would have internet connection la, so I'll come online when I can...

Ouh and anything urgent you can sms me through singtel's internet sms! here!

Ya la, can call also, I have roaming but please have mercy on my pocket. Heh heh.

I'm leaving later at midnight!

My sister, the closet Oscar Nominee!

I just got back not too long ago from RGS Perbayu's Drama, Prolognya Epilogku.

Well other than S.A.M, this was probably the first drama that I've watched and I must applaud the entire crew of this production. For a drama by 15 year olds, directed and written by 16 year olds, it was rather impressive.

My sister played the role of the nenek bomoh, Nek Sako and she played Ain, the kaypoh colleague. I thought her Nek Sako scene was just plain hilarious. I mean, yeah she DID show me (at home) what she's supposed to do, be in uncontrollable convulsions (during her trance and weirdo rituals) but I didn't expect her to carry out the role so well!

I'm uberrrrrr proud of her lah! I took a video of her scene, but she won't allow me to post it up! Hrrmph. But here are some screenshots of the video.

(this is my fave part! and she says she was actually just playing with the dry ice fumes)
Other than Nek Sako, I thought the jins that she summoned were well played too! Oh and Maryam the totally born-to-be mak nenek!! Oh oh and the two guys, Luqman and Dzul (Adilah is cute giler nak mampos!!!!) OMG everyone was good lah!!

Sako and her jins, Jintat and Jintut.

The Cast! Checkout Maryam (totally the mak nenek Kebayarobicks!) and blue-tie Dzul..cute rightt! Nurul as Luqman, in the male baju kurung, her role was that of the perfect boyfriend! Totally ah! I love her role! And checkout my sister wearing MY heels and MY croptop! Takpe takpe.

Well I just thought it was fairly weird that when my mum and I bumped into my sister's friend's parents they all said almost the same thing.

We bumped into Fadhilah's mum before the drama:

Fads' mum: -to my mum pointing at me- Ehh! Isn't she supposed to be acting?!

My mum: No! This is my eldest!

Fads' mum: Ohhh, they look SO alike!

We bumped into Haslina's mum after the drama:

Haslina's mum: Ehh! Aren't you acting?!

Me: -faints-

My mum: Noooo! This is my eldest! Lina is inside!

We later bumped into Suhaimi Salleh (his daughter was the director) after the drama:

S.S: -to my dad- Your daughter act eh?

My dad: A'ah..

S.S: Ni eh? -points at me- [HELLO I'm in TUDUNG]

My dad: Tak, tak...this is my eldest, my youngest one yang act..jadi bomoh!

S.S: Oh! Muka sama!

-slaps forehead-

----

Alfons just smsed! "Wahai teman bolaku, tengok bola tak?" Haha! We've been keeping each other company through sms for the past 3am matches! I think tonite I shall sleep instead. Tiredddd.

Of tikuses and perakuses.

See I promised Muzzammil we'd go hunt for a pair of jeans for him. And so we DID! Atikk and I were his fashionistas for the day. We ended up at S&K at Bugis.

Okay I'm just kidding about the perakus. But she says it too often.

Its really jeans galore there! Anyway I chose him a macam dark coloured pair of jeans. I don't like faded and the ones with the crease had weird coffee-like stains. So it'll look like he didn't wash his jeans after a messy day at Starbucks.

Yay! So mission accomplished! Did you know: Muzz hasn't bought jeans since sec 1. That's like 11 years ago.

So anyway we lunched at Tong Seng.

Here are pictures of Atikk and Muzzammil.

Tikus!

I don't know them.

Yey!

----

Okay lah. My sister has 2387642398472398749237 of her cronies over at home for a sleepover! So fun right! I also want! Okay maybe not 2387642398472398749237, but around 6? So guess where I'll be sleeping tonight?

The couch! Yes! Thats right! The COUCH. Well its either the couch or with my PARENTS. (no thanks!)

Thanks ah. Nevermind ah, I'll be up watching soccer anyway. hehe.

-published at 8:31 PM.

Love Soccer makes the world go round!

Alfons doesn't have the worldcup channel so he's watching Croatia-Aus on RTM1.

I was updating him on Brazil-Japan and he was updating me on Croatia-Aus via sms. Both 2-1! Wow! Must be some kind of sign!

Argh. crap. Gilberto just scored. 3-1 now! garh!

Anyway Juninho's goal rawked. Dah bye.

OH I had NO idea cable offers free RTM1! Until like, 5mins ago.

This whole worldcup 3am game timing rocks because it adjusts my body clock for when I'm in Switz. I sleep at 5am, I wake up at 12 noon. That's 11pm- 6am in Switz. Not bad lah, even after you factor in Subuh here and Isyak+Subuh over there. Not so bad jetlag when I get there, I hope. :D

Singapore River!

I met up with Atikk-perakus-so-meant-to-be before the FOC general meeting today. We were walking along the Singapore River (I KNOW SO ROMANTIC RIGHT) then we decided to sit behind that huge birdy statue.

DID YOU KNOW: That there's wireless internet connection along the river? Tap from Indochine! *coughs* For someone who walked from raffles place to SMU looking for wireless!! Mwahahah.

Atikk: EH Walao why are there so many birds!! I'm SCARED of them!

Me: WTH! You're like 6000 times their size!

Atikk: YAaa, but the birds here not scared of people sia. They fly right past your face..like WIPER sia!

Check out the lesbian couple making out on the extreme left.

Atikk: Mann! Too bad I'm not lesbian! If not I can lie on someone's lap!

-pause-

Atikk: WHAT a reason to be lesbian man..

Me: Yeah, I'm GLAD you realised!

Can go crazy la hangout with her.

Anyway it was my last General Meeting for FOC before I fly off next week. Was kinda sad, though. Well everything kinda looks good..so I just wish the team all the best.

We had the meeting by the Singapore River..and it was really nice at night and all. Loves it.

----

Anyway the answer to "dimana asmara berputik" is YES--the LOVERS' PARK. And all the msges I got on my tag and over MSN all said Lovers' Park. So FINE atikk wins. dammit.

Well except Yana, who thought it was the hostels. Tsktsktsk..what have you been doing in the hostels babe...

Nitewalk walkabout

I'm in school right now with mAtikk doing nitewalk stuff. We just finished walking around 70% of NUS and I'm damn shagged.

I can go crazy, walking around with her! OMG. She sang our OG Cheer while walking, skipped through half the route (I really mean skip, as in lalala-i'm-so-happy skip) and came up with nonsense like "Eh, lets make the hantus all mengilai at midnight..you know, to celebrate 12 midnight?"

WTHHHHHHH.

AND right now we're thinking of clues and she insists that the pontianak must whisper "di mana asmara berputik" to the freshies as their clue to the next station. (WHATS UP WITH BERPUTIK..i don't even know WHAT berputik is)

So I'm calling out to all you malay speaking NUS undergrads who read my blog...What place is "di mana asmara berputik" referring to?

Just leave me a tag/MSN me with your answer. Can be anonymous. If you all can guess then I think I will let Atikk have her way with the berputik nonsense.

Okay ciao for now. [She also wants to have a hantu party]

Old photos.

You see, my sister was showing me old photos of her in kindergarten and whatnots because she just found some of her primary one classmates on Friendster. (She was in P1 in CHIJ and then we moved to Bukit Batok, so she had to change school..so that's 8 years of lost contact with her P1 classmates)

Okay anyway, I found like 987448268959483723 humiliating photos of ourselves!

First it started with "Eh! How slenger! Shades and a wannabe bike!" -proceeds to laugh heartily at my sister-

Then as I flipped through MY album (simultaneously).."EH! I also got!!"

WTH man. Eh but at least my bike was real ok. Check out the horn. I look like i'm part of the mafia sia. The leg position all.

See back then i was SUCH a hotbabe.

What is UP with the shades!!!

Ahh, and those topless photos.

Thats my sister, step petani.

[ me: Eh! you see, you're such a petani!

sister: What's up with PETANI?! You can just say farmer, you know, kak?!]

And this is me, OMG. I think I look like a gorilla.

Sheesh, the fats are revolting.

And this is my dad, with HAIR..and I.

Seriously, whats with the specs laaaa.

Plus my sister always had weird poses when she took photos last time. Here's one of such.

Haha! WTH man, seriously! From young la, my sister cannot keep still.

And thennnnnnn, my ninja turtles past came back to HAUNT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was SUCH a fan of the turtles, I swear!

Pardon the hair please. Its not my choice.

ANDDDDD! I used to go to kindergarten with these on! (And I would carry the sword also)

Wah! maybe one day I should go to NUS like that, complete with sword!

TOTALLY!!!!!!

DECO DECO DECO

You know what. I can't have a scrolly entry box and a background layout because....I post too many photos in my posts. So it looks twice as messy and...okok sorry, technical details.

I love clean layouts! And I love the Swift!

Anyway, I want to tell the whole world (again) how great Deco is!!!!!!!!!!!

Kan Kamie, kan????

Plus, when you repeat his name, it says code! decodecodecodecodecodeco. SEE! Its a sign.

WTH sorry I'm rambling.

I'm still high off Portugal's win. Figo is SUCH a certified diver lah, they so totally didn't deserve the penalty.

Oh yes, speaking of Figo..Figo is now known as my UNCLE because my dad insists that he looks like Figo, and that Figo is secretly his long lost brother. So being the GREAT daughter that I am, I just play along la.

Sigh. Dads.

All in a day's work!

[Photos courtesy of my Motorola V3 and Muzz's Lumix. Decide which is which. hehe]

I was out with the Programs Team today for recce at Wisma Indah.

Here's proof that atikk loves me.

Well as usual, it was fun. Anyway, I LOVE the halal certification place! Its just too cool! Did you know that they have 3 different kinds of halal certs? One for eating establishments, one for product and one for...uhh..poultry, is it?

Tak tau kannn?!

Vanna White for the day.

Well Atikk, for some strange reason, thought that that was the place they stamped meat, you know, cap halal. How odd. Firstly, I don't even think meat is STAMPED.

Yeah and she grew fangs too.

Bagusss..

---

Anyway, on a totally unrelated note, I want to tell the whole world how great Picasa is (Sorry la, I slow). You can download it for free from google. Its easy to use, has a really nice interface and the results are great! I mean, I use Photoshop but its such a hassle if you don't know how to go about using Photoshop since it has 2387429374934239874 different effects and an additional 28374923874632648372649832 things you can do with it.

For instance, with Photoshop, you can erase pimples, give yourself better skin, bigger breasts, remove oil on faces, sharper nose, blue eyes..okay you get what I mean. But for simple picture enhancing, Picasa IS what you should use! You get great pictures with a fraction of the effort needed at photoshop!

Okay la SORRY!

I'm bored. So I changed the skin. I know, smangat nak mampos. I'm sure I'll get sick of this by next week.

I mean, I don't like the fact that my entry box scrolls, but I love the fact that my fave players are on it. mwahaha. Ya and its similar to the Euro 2004 one I did two years back. hehe.

And I dare say my cropping skills have improved. (I had to carefully crop around each dude to remove the background!) If the boxes are out of place, that means your resolution is probably 800 x 600. That won't work yup. I worked on a 1024 x 768. hehe. Oh and IE please. Not Mozilla or any other browser, cause the Scroll bar will show. Ah enough boring technical details.

I'm waiting for Muzz to come online so I can blog about just now's trip to Wisma Indah. He has the pictures. hehe.

Okay dah lah. Bye.

Arghhhhh.

I think I'm a jinx! You know why! I stayed up this morning to catch Deutschland Vs Polska, haha okay la, I act cute..Germany vs Poland and THEN! OMG The Germans kept attacking but there was NO finish!

Klose's header went everywhere BUT the net, Ballack's deflected, other shots missed the net, freaking Boruc kept making great saves so the Germans couldn't score...argh it was just SO frustrating to watch. I mean, okay la, the Germans did create great chances to score..but they couldn't covnert it to goal..it was SO frustrating, I swear.

So anyway, when Neuville came on, I expected great things from him. But still...same old thing man..great chances, no goal! It was already 440am and I got SO worked up because I refused to accept a goalless draw result! Haha. Convinced I was a jinx to the game, I went to sleep at the 85th minute after blowing kisses to Klose, Ballack, Odonkor and the adorable Neuville.

I woke up at 1120am and immediately logged on here. Its a routine. ANDDDDDDDDDDDD Neuville scored at 91st!!!!! YOU SEE YOU SEE!!! 6 minutes of my absence and they score!

BUTTTTT. This is totally SO german! Remember last worldcup! Goalless all through the match, then at some late time in the game they somehow manage to squeeze in one goal. Just one. But enough.

Of expired stuff.

Today I decided to log into my Friendster account which, I think is seriously expired. It looks different from when I started the account back in J1. Well yes, I was the adamant one..about NOT getting a friendster account. See it died already!

Well okay, this does NOT apply to Ain (and my sister), who can spend 3-4hours just surfing Friendster. Well she (Ain) DID find Loner Guy's friendster. That's how skilled she is.

I stopped Friendster-ing because I didn't see the point. And weird mats started adding me as friends, mats whom I didn't know! Plus there was some 34 year old lesbian that checked me out. No offence to lesbians but, please. So I just decided to save myself all the misery, hehe.

So anyways, I logged into my account, and was a little overwhelmed by the new interface and whatnots. And I saw that I had new testimonials. So I clicked. AND, shocks of all shocks! Who WOULD leave me a (crappy) testimonial other than my sister herself!

WHAT THE -? AND check it out! She sent it on 2nd June, and today is 13June. Oh yes, I forgot to add that I delete ALL the emails that Friendster sends. haha. Which I think explains why I wasn't notified of her really important testimonial.

[She just added that you must say the "e'ehhhhhhhh kesiannyer" in a very makcik way]

Dah lapar ah byebye.

World Cup rules for girls.

From here

Its too cute. But walao! Girls should watch the worldcup also what! Its like those crappy soap operas what, only less crappy and more exciting, and 22 MEN! Why don't girls like to watch soccer?!

World cup matches are like soap operas because when you least expect it, there's a twist in the game and the tables are turned. Its true what! Japan was leading for at least an hour, with one goal and wow wow wowwwwww, the last 8 minutes Australia decides to step it up and delivers 3 goals (much to my dad's dismay). Great stuff.

So anyway, here are my favourite World cup rules for girls:

3. I don't mind if you have to pass by in front of the TV during a game - as long as you do it crawling on the floor and without distracting me. If you decide to stand naked in front of the TV, make sure you put clothes on right after because if you catch a cold, I won't have time to take you to the doctor or look after you during the World Cup month.

4. During the games I will be blind, deaf and mute - unless I require a refill of my drink or something to eat. You are out of your mind if you expect me to listen to you, open the door, answer the telephone, or pick up the baby that just fell from the second floor....it won't happen.

9. Tell your friends NOT to have any babies, or any other child related parties or gatherings that requires my attendance because:

a) I will not go,
b) I will not go, and
c) I will not go.

12. And finally, please save your expressions such as "Thank God the World Cup is only every 4 years".

I am immune to these words, because after this comes the Champions League, Italian League, Spanish League, Premier League, etc etc.

[And I LOVE how it's signed off]

Thank you for your co-operation.

Regards,
Men of the World

MEN OF THE WORLD!!!!!!! hahhaha.

Well anyway, I'm bored to death at home now. Lets not talk about it. Although I'm SURE Shah and Syaban have lots to say.

Great start!

Ahhh! After four years, its back again! All of us getting ready for the opening match..

It was a pity that my parents had to sleep after the first half because they're probably along the North-South highway right now driving to KL. Well it also SUCKED because my sister and I are LOUD soccer-watchers.

So when Klose scored his second goal in the second half my sister and I were loserly whispering-chanting "Goal, goal, goal..." and jumping around madly. Later we wake the parents up how. We were left speechless at Wanchope's second goal (so no noise there) and I was just amazed at Frings' goal.

Well my dad has always NOT supported the German team, so while he watched the first half, he was cheering for CRC, and Wanchope. Dammit. My mum will follow whichever my dad supports. WTH man. haha.

Buttt I'm happy! First game, and the scoreline was great, although I think both CRC goals could be saved. Lehmann must have been thinking of me, thats why. I've missed Olly Kahn so much! PLUS, the reason behind the "11" in my "am11", Miroslav Klose, the birthday boyyyy was made Man-Of-The-Match.

Yesssss la. So I'm happy!

[England-Paraguay] at 9pm today! -dances away-

Berkemban styles!

First I want to thank Ain's mum for coining the above term. Well today I took my berkemban style baju out for a walk! And I totally (x 893276492837432876876) LOVE it! Well with a crop top of course, since I can't possibly pin my tudung on my flesh, right, and leave my shoulders and arms exposed, duh.

I've never been SO in love with a baju until this Swiss Blue top.

Only downside is that I THINK I bought a size too big, because the thingy is supposed to rest nicely on my hips, but its too big so it keeps sliding down to my butt. Ahhh kens.

But nevermind! I still love it anyway!

Plus, the colour is Swiss blue! Its a sign for me to lug it to switzerland! [What is UP with me and signs?]

Okay this has been a sufficiently overshare-d post. I shall end it off with a great picture of my great baju. Sigh.

I CANNOT BELIEVE MY SISTER GOT TO PLAY ON THE STAGEA!!!!!

OMG LA. How hebat is the Stageaaaaaaaaa. I wantttttttt! Plus! Its touch screen!!! And my sister says the sound is better than the EL98 I have at home! Gah gah gah!

----

[friday 9june2006 1156am]
I JUST checked my email and Muzz JUST uploaded the NUS reccee pics from last friday.

O.M.G.

I am SO going to kill him.

Thanks for uploading my 87364823517623813762 unflattering pictures, MUZZAMMIL!!!! haha! Anyway, he looks rather adorable in this photo. [RHS] The university hall is SUCH a nice place.

Ahh. The rose among the thornsss.

Haha okay la. Time to trudge down to NUS to accompany my sister hunt for a book for her research.

URGH.

Is my neighbour, the one who lives directly above me training for the Olympics or something? He/she/it keeps jumping around like a wild boar! Plus, I'm a light sleeper, so the slightest noise will wake me up!

Okay lets NOT talk about my sister, because amidst all the thuds she is STILL fast asleep. I just sang The Click Five's Good day at the top of my lungs and she didn't budge one bit. Maybe its because I have a great, melodious voice.

SO anyway! back to my ANNOYING NEIGHBOUR! I hear thuds every 2 minutes or so! I have half the mind of going up the lift and telling them to keep it down.

ARGHHHHHH.

I think better not, since it MAY end in bloodshed. I'm feeling VERY PMS-y.

Rawr.

SORRY!

Instead of WorldCup fever, I think the WebCam fever has hit my adik and I. WOOHOO! Now everytime we start MSN, we will video conference with each other, AND keep it on. That means whatever she does in the study room I can see AND hear, and vice versa!

It also means I'm listening to her voice ALL the time.

For more details, please click here. Because somehow she got frustrated with me. God help me. I am only human.

haha!

Oh and check it out! Today we were in same clothes somemore! (its my fave thing to wear at home) Don't laugh ah. You're just jealous you don't have that top right. hahah.

Also note that (at that moment) I'm talking to two other people, which accounts for 923874928374928364% of her frustrations. Because everytime she calls for me to give her attention, my attention will be somewhere else.

Teehee.

Mums and their idiosyncrasies.

This is to everyone whom I've annoyed about wanting to get married and/or swooned about hot/cute/yummy guys. I'M SORRY!

BECAUSE!

Today, while walking to the mosque from the carpark, my mum asked me who I wanted to marry. Its the ULTIMATE LA. I mean, sure, she's been planning what to do with my room and planning where my wedding would be etc etc but this is IT! [She got doubly excited when I told her that Yana's parents are renovating her room in preparation for marriage] I can't take it anymore!

(out of a sudden)
Mum: Amy, so you nak kahwin siapa? Dah ader ke belum?

Me: -makes a what-on-earth-are-you-talking-about face- MUMMYYY!

Mum: Whatt? You must start thinking about it already what! I got married at 22 you know! So now must start shortlisting already!

Me: Huhhhh? Mummy! You're such a bad influence! -covers ears (i don't know why but i'm doing that a lot lately)-You're supposed to tell me to complete my studies...NOT think about the father of my children!

Mum: Oh yah eh.

YESSAAHHH. And just like that, I won.

So anyway the aftermath of the conversation (I was seriously thinking about it during class la! But i WAS paying attention also ok), I realised that no matter how I insist I wanna get married, in actual fact, I'm totally NOT ready! Sure, I'm getting to know more people and all but yeah, lets just keep it that way for now.

Cause it DOES take alot of thought and patience to find the one that you're going to spend the rest of your life with!

Plus I'm not exactly one who would waste emotions [thanks ain]. So till I find the right one, AND be sure about him, THEN we'll talk marriage yeah? Do i have a list? Yeah, maybe (its not very long actually). Am I sure? Hmm, maybe. shrugs. In the process of getting to know la, I suppose.

-sings- getting to know youuuuu getting to know alll about youuuuu... [okay sorry. I'm an Oscar Hammerstein freak]

On the bright side, it looks like my mum WON'T be bugging me about marriage for a while. Till the next week, at least. Argh. I got to think of more rebuttal lines.

WEBCAM!

I just bought 2 webcams! A creative one for the home comp! And a Genius one for my laptop! That was a mini therapy after the NUSMS interview which I think i screwed up.

The interview was at YIH. And you know, I've never entered the new IT coop at YIH so it was my first time and all and I saw the webcams. It was TOO irresistable!

And now I'm having fun webcamming with my adik. We're video conferencing because the Creative cam I bought for the home comp came with a mic. My laptop already has a built-in mic. HOW COOL!

Sorry I wasn't in tudung and my adik was posing slengerly. Hence the pixelated picture.

my sister: Kak, your necklace makes you look like samseng ah!

WTH! I've been wearing that silver necklace with the "A" pendant since JC and NOW she notices it. Wow thanks.

Okay she just played a song and step film a music video.

OMG. Since now she has the mic, she's bombarding me with voiceclips!

Ahhhh. Why do I regret buying it nowwwwwwwww.

Okay. Tuition starts in 10 mins and I'm not ready. Dahlah bye.

my sister: -violently- NO!

me: -relieved- Aha! Means I look young ah!

my sister: Uhhh, no..it just means you don't look motherly.

Photo dump!

This week has been CRAZY! I've been going out every single day since last Saturday! Anyway had the reccee yesterday, I came home feeling super duper shagged to do anything. Well I wanted to blog about it but Blogger was acting up. So anyway here are some belated photos. Most of it can be found on the Yahoo! Groups as well.

Lab Park! The last time I went there was in J2 with S14!!! The place was still as great as ever. If only it wasn't so inaccessible, I would go there pretty often!

Steppp jiwangg. You know lah Muzzammil and his love for photography. So, while he was busy taking pictures of the possible locations for grandfinale, I tried to STEP photographer also. Muzzammil was using a Lumix 12x optical zoom camera. I was using *drum roll pls* my MOTOROLA RAZR! mwahahaha. With 4 times lousy zoom and giving lousy + small quality pictures. Check it out.

This is Muzzammil's picture of some kids. He took it from afar, of course. 12x optical zoom leh! I also want! This means I can take stealth pictures with better clarity!

Ahh I love my Razr lah. Maybe Muzzammil would trade his Lumix for my Razr ah. Mine can use as handphone also ok!

Anyway we stopped by at Sultan for Zohor and we left for Jalan Besar stadium.
