SEVEN-DAY REVIEW
As Mr Brown says, "I'm baaaaaaaaaack."
Whoopee! And I'm loving every single minute back here in sunny Singapore. School's starting real soon, I can feel it biting my butt. I still have that Matrices Tutorial that i have yet to
Ok. So here's my 7-day review of my short escapade in Penang and KL.
Set off at an unearthly hour on Christmas Day and dad drove up to Penang. Can't say much cause I practically slept through the whole journey. When I woke up, our Honda-CRV was already crossing the Penang Bridge. And the maps that my dad got just sucked. The maps don't match the streets in Penang. [??] So what are the maps for? Since everyone elses' [mum's and sister's] sense of direction pretty much sucked, I had to help my dad navigate through the bustling but congested streets of Penang, and I did a bloody good job [woohoo!]. Penang was pretty much very clean, like Singapore, only that Penang had beautiful beaches. Stayed at a hotel overlooking the Ferringhi Beach. Extremely nice place. Ate Penang laksa for dinner every night, cause of my mum who was addicted to it.
Oh yes. The shopping. It was shoppers' paradise. You name it, they pretty much have it. Penang's quite happening too, you know. My dad decided to be a little adventurous on Saturday and we drove up to Bukit Kayu Hitam, the uppermost [?] part of Malaysia, or rather, the border between Malaysia and Thailand. And I'm proud of the fact that we drove through the entire North-South Expressway. Haha! ok, ok. Roll your eyes if its necessary. GaHhhh.
Drove back down to KL on Sunday and again, the maps sucked. So guess who did a good job navigating... based on pure luck and skill too! hahaa! ok. roll your eyes again. The hotel was frickin hard to find. But the location was good. It was just behind Times Square. So shopping galore as well! Spent the whole of Monday at Times Square's indoor themepark, me and my sister, while my parents went to "Masjid India" to shop for cloth. We pretty much took all the rides there, including that loopy roller coaster. Oh yes. We took the thing four times. Haha! As exciting and enthralling and whoopee! the roller coaster seemed, I didn't find it much of a thrill. Hey! It takes alot to excite me ok. [and please, no dirty thoughts...] That's why I could take it four times, just to accompany my sister.
Tuesday was spent visiting the Petronas Twin Towers. Had to get there early in the morning in order to get tickets. The skybridge-visit is limited to 1200 visitors a day. Me and my sister sat at the steps of the ticketing holding area and acted like total brats. heh! It was fun! We were either bitching about those scantily-clad ang mohs or calling the local people mats and minahs. Whoa. Mean twits eh? but it was fun. We were total bitches la. hmm. Oh, and we went to the "Menara KL" or KL Tower after that. Its their tele-communications tower, you know, something like the CN Tower being the tele-communications tower of Canada. It was fun. We were still laughing at those ang mohs, though. heh!
Left KL at an unearthly hour today too, and reached Singapore at 9 plus. Woohoo~ it feels great to be home. Back to my messy room, with loads of work. Oh. and my sister waving her ugly green Rafflesian tie in my face. Gah. Should be featured on MTV Whatever things.
I'm tired.
