the aftermath sucks.

grad nite was yesterday. my reflections? it was really well planned, kudos to the councillors, but i thought the sound system really sucked. and i thought that our performance was short and sweet, but a bloody waste of time for us preparing close to 12 songs, but only managed to perform 2. Actually it was also because the sound system was so terrible and everyone got demoralized that we just lost the passion/oomph/drive to perform anymore. well, at least we performed closing time, my all time favourite song.

i thought the j2s were pretty rude, seriously. I know its their prom and stuff BUT hey, you can always take photos after the prom right? when wen loo, the other guy and sam were performing, practically no one was listening. Everyone was busy scurrying around. I mean, the effort we performers put in rehearsals, and jamming seemed like it all went to waste. seriously, and i thought that the guest j2 band really sucked. and i mean really. i look at blink 182 and weep, but when i saw the guest band perform, oh hell, i just wanted to hide my head in the ground.

i really take my hat off to the councillors, they really did a good job, and seriously, it was really tiring for them running here and there carrying instruments on and off the stage. really a job well done to the 26th student council. our second performance was "grow old with you" by adam sandler. we got a special request for it again at the end of the song by this really sweet couple who wanted to dance. it was so sweeeet. I felt entirely touched by them, they made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, oh how nice. [=)]

the aftermath of the whole thing really sucked, but we, the nonsensical members of Vo cheered ourselves up after the whole thing. the councillors gave all performers a box of chocolates as a token of appreciation, and we sat outside the jasmine room talking a whole lot of trash and eating chocolate. It was like a mini-bonding session, and it was damn fun. we sat there till about 12.45am, gosh, it was frickin late, and we shared cabs home.

After we got home, the funny thing was we continued our little get-together session and we chatted for at least an hour on MSN. Me, hirman, irwan, halim and raph. edward couldn't be there cos he had to pack his stuff to return to indonesia. whatever it was, how sucky the whole thing went, i'm glad i still spent gradnite with these five guys. it was fun, guys. at least i got to know hirman and raphael better. Hirman can sing! and he's sick in the mind. and he's one of the many guys i know who act cute! and he says he's a natural. [blearrrgh.] didn't know that right? heh. [hirman, there goes your reputation... haha! ok. I'm just kidding, before that guy bashes me up..] Raphael is really crazy. like mad kind of crazy. [scary!]. I remember before we went up to perform, raphael was asking me and hirman the percentage of the j2s who would have sex after grad nite. [haha! another sickass.]

we're all still up for orientation! heh. Really love them guys. really.
