The Emancipation of Amy.

Haha, okay that was a corny title. Spoof of Mariah's new album hehh hehh. Anyways, Mothers' Day was yesterday, and like I said in my entry for last year's Mother's Day, everyday should be Mothers' Day! But anyhoos, I shall blog about my mother in this entry.

Something's gotten into her!

These past few days, when she cries, it will be because of these three reasons.

1) The Late Dr Wee Kim Wee. Every single article she reads about him, she will cry.

2) Mother's Day articles in the newspaper. Particularly reading about Taufik Batisah's mother and how poor they were. She cried. Alot.

3) Thinking about Lydia and how she's going to leave her mother behind when she leaves for Perth. This is scary because she will cry at random times of the day. Like when she's cooking, she may cry. Or sometimes while watching TV. Its really scary. Like one moment she's laughing at some funny scene and the other, she's bawling her eyes out. Anyways, she has volunteered to sponsor me an air ticket next June to fly to Perth to visit Lydia (( can la ah, lydia? )). And I'm not complaining. Heh Heh.

Baaaahhhh. My mother ah. Superrrrrr emo.

Aaaaanywaysssss, my stagnant application status for NUS has finally been approved! They select based on choice as opposed to merit. Hrrrrmph. Oh, this was the only occassion yesterday that my mum didn't cry. She was jumping around the house in glee, together with me. Now my parents call me "the undergraduate". I think its kinda weird why they didn't call me "the undergraduate" when I received my acceptance letter to NTU in early April.

Oh, so NUS only undergraduate lah.

I wouldn't like to think so far, but I hope I'm making the right choice by going to NUS rather than NTU.

But seriously speaking, its really scary to think that I'm going to be in uni in a couple of months time. Sometimes its really unbelievable. On another note, at least I have Ain in the same faculty and Baba & Atikk a stones' throw away. Some familiar faces to calm the bundle of nerves.
