1001 things

Well I have a whole lot of things to blog about.

First up: to my two darlingssss Sahibah Farha and Aizat Amali (ALL of the SAtays have a first name and a middle name, all but me! (Suffian Hakim, Muhammad Hirman, Muhammad Halim, Nur Lydia, Irwan Iskandar))

ANYWAY, its baba's and zat's birthday today!

So happy birthday loves. Finally you are 20 man. Tertidur aku tunggu.

Here's part 1 of the Europe trip.

Well its called EURIP (europe immersion program) for a reason, other than sight-seeing and going on a holiday, we also had industry and university visits (think THE chemical company, BASF, Merck etc, Uni Heidelberg, ETH Zurich etc), which meant long talks on phd-level stuff that we barely understood. Well some of them. Haha most of us fell asleep by then, no matter how hot the speaker was.

Cameras were not allowed in most of the industries so there're no photos of that.

HEidelberg installment will be up soon!

---

I've been rewatching Prison Break Season 1 on my laptop AGAIN. And my favourite character HAS to be John Abruzzi (played by Peter Stomare). (actor is still Wentworth)

My fave Abruzzi scene is at Episode 21, the last few parts where they were climbing out of the infirmary window and Lincoln was the first to go..

Abruzzi sees Lincoln climb out and realises that there's not much time for all 8-9 of them to climb out so he rushes to the window..

Abruzzi: -pushes everyone aside while walking to the window- Okay after Lincoln, we all go alphabetically!

C-Note: Yeah, OKAY A-Bruzzi!

Haha! freaking funny!

And I loved how he chopped T-Bag's hand off.

MWahahhaa.

I'm obsessed la and I dreamt that I was in Fox Rivers, with Sucre as my cell mate! I met Tbag, Abruzzi, and Tweener but Michael Scofield was nowhere to be found in my dream.

Dangs.

My beloved SAtays, whichever of you are reading this, when are we going out for fishball noodles?! Don't tell me you guys went without me!!

I'm pretty much homesick right about now. Which is surprising because I never really got homesick when i was in switz in July. And I was away for a longer time in July.

Just a random thought: I think the world lacks sensitive guys. :(

Okay my nose is clogging up already. COLD!

Going to Dachau today, the concentration camp. (dazril loves saying Arbeit macht frei in such an evil manner)

Shopping tomorrow and Frankfurt bound the day after tomorrow!! WAHOO!!

Fotos!

Okay here are the photos.

First let me tell you something slenger. So I woke up at the usual..645am ish. While Shah my roomie slept till 8!!! But no rush lah today since we were only due at 930am. My group likes to be early you see.

So after breakfast I went back to my room to wake shah up but she was awake already. Then we found out from the bus driver that the shops are all closed except the Christmas market which closes at 2pm.

WTH! So i had half the mind of not going, but my neighbours and Shah were going, so go la.

When we reached downtown, EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED. The christmas market people were PACKING UP! WALAO! I thought I could get some pommes frites buttttt. BAH~! See, most shops are closed on Sundays, plus today being Christmas eve, that catalysed the closement. (CLOSEMENT!)

So we walked around abit, window shopping, cannot buy, becos shops are closed. SO GERAM!!! Boots at 9.90 Euros!!!!!!! OMG!

Sat at Macs a while then cannot take it, we left for hostel. So here I am. haha.

Okay dah photos. So we went to Fuessen yesterday, home of the castles. Super cold, because there was snow everywhere. Had to be a couple of degrees subzero.

With Prof Lear

The only time you can lie on the ground and not get dirty.

At the foot of Schloss Neuschwanstein. It was a 1.5km walk up slopes decorated with Horse manure. Harum and steaming.

Finally reached the entrance.

Then we went to the bridge. Which was another long assed hike up a steeper slope, but no horse poop this time. Just lots of snow and it was very slippery. I called home while hiking up the slope. at least 40 mins of tedious walking.

The bridge!

But the hike was worth it, I think cos we had a view of the castle from afar.

You know these two guys. They say "Schokolade" and "Kuchen" in SUCH a vile manner, as if swearing at someone, padahal it means "chocolate" and "cake", respectively.

I totally blame myself for teaching them more german words. Haha.

Mixed feelings

My parents just left for Haji sometime today. I called home while walking up the horrendously steep slope to the bridge facing the Neuschwanstein castle, or Schloss Neuschwanstein, whichever rocks your boat.

Somehow I'm feeling super freakingly PMSy right about now.

I want to put photos but the internet here is not working with me.

Dah nak makan kari ah. (at 1220am, well done amy)

bye.

short short update

The internet at the Munich hostel i'm staying in right now is cranky. Okay maybe its just the location of my room, which is at the far end of the entire corridor. So the signal isn't very good.

Oh I'm now sharing a room with Sarleenak..its a 6 bedded room, with only the two of us! haha how great is that! She's now at BengHwa/Dazril's room playing cards and I'm alone in my room. Oh guess what! I've shifted my laptop to outside my room and I can get the signal. But quite pathetic la. This is how i'm seated right now. haha.

Wow have fun la! haha.

I'll blog about EURIP in detail when I get back to Singapore because our days are jammed packed and by the time I get to the hostel we cook dinner and etc etc and I'm dead tired.

Anyway we checked into this hostel yesterday, after a loooooong drive from Basel, Switzerland through Bregenz, Austria and finally cutting into Munich, Germany.

The German kids are super noisy! They're like back from the disco downstairs or something. Ew.

OMG its insanely cold along the corridors..i'm actually shivering. The temperature today reached zero I think, because the fountains at the University we visited today was frozen. Prof Wohland says its pretty warm for Munich at this time of the year.

Ok sarleenak is back and she's threatening to share my bed. HOW GROSS IS THAT.

Dah lah okay byebyebye.

PS: Anyway lina! I'm NOT going to watch survivor until i'm back in Singapore insyaAllah. I'll catch up with Survivor and you HAVE to catch up with Prison Break!!!!!

Meet Randy,

Today was a free day, and 4 out of the 6 groups went ice skating at a nearby rink. One group went to watch some german opera and my group left Zurich for Luzern!

Wahoo!

Luzern was beautiful to say the very least. I missed Luzern when I was here for immersion, so I made up for it now. Luzern is like the base camp for a few mountains, so we decided to go up Mount Pilatus.

Cooollllddddddd. Oh, and meet Randy, my new love. Ready made in 20 mins. All natural.

Jie An the MAN refuses to be in any of his OWN photos. He'd rather take our photos. Using his camera. Haha but okay la, he's one of the more gentlemanly guys I know.

But he's missing an arm. T-bag the second. ak ak.

What can I say man. I love Switzerland.

We just finished cooking dinner and a short gossip session with the girls from Terina's group.

On Terina's name

Dazril: Wah, her parents don't like the letter "S" issit?

Haha!

Okay time to sleep. We need to checkout at 8 am tomorrow. BAH!

Internet at last!

After 3 days in Frankfurt and 4 days in Heidelberg, I finally have internet at the Zurich hostel! Its not exactly internet, INTERNET, but I'm tapping from someone somewhere.

Got to be contented with what I have lah.

Europe is COLD. Its not snowing yet, but its friggin cold! Wahoo!

Its somewhere past one am right now, and I am still reeling from the excitement after discovering the wireless!

We just had dinner -- I cooked for my groupmates-cum-roommates my speciality! Spaghetti! mwahaha.

When the bus dropped us off at the Zurich Hauptbahnhof, I immediately took my groupmates straight to coop and we bought chocolates (and spaghetti ingredients)! Then we walked along Bahnhofstrasse to Lake Zurich, just like I did in June!

Its more beautiful during the winter, with all the lights.

Anyway here are some photos from Frankfurt.

First day, right after we got out of the airport. Around 7 deg.

Day 2 dinner! Curry and baguette. Crash Shah's room because her roomies were still out.

Dinner plus Prison Break marathon! Michael Scofield is love.

My roomies and I. Our room in Frankfurt Hostel.

Boarding the bus to Heidelberg!

Pictures from Heidelberg!

Heidelberg's very pretty! I like it.

And it was also insanely cold on our second last day in heidelberg! check out the mist!

Before checkout of Heidelberg hostel. We have this tradition of taking photo prior to checkout. The guy in my group, Jie An was just menyebokking. Funny dude la. He'll come over to our room at night to mengumpat!

With Prof Lear and his adorable wife. Prof Lear will be taking us for Organic next sem.

Okay I didn't take much photos in Zurich cos I already have photos in the summer. Malas ah.

Will be in Zurich for 4 days, before we go to Basel for 3 days, and back to Germany, Munich where we will be till 28 dec.

My other photos are with Jie An. The rest I'm too tired to photoshop. Will do it when I have more time and when its not 2am my time.

My group wakes up damn early--at 6am and we're always the first down for breakfast-- at 7 when the other groups only come down at 8plus. We're punctual people man.

To end off--

The bestest friends I could ever ask for

and the people I love with all my heart

I'll write again soon!

Be safe everyone!

I think I'm beginning to wake my roomies with my incessant typing. okay time to sleep! Pardon the slipshod entry!

~12 Hour flight to Frankfurt. Lets hope I'll get some sleep on the flight later. Europe's 6 hours behind Singapore.

Will have internet access from 20 Dec onwards. I didn't check with the other hostels if they have wireless, but if they do, I'll update.

Be safe everyone!

Happy Holidays!

Then the usual Topshop routine. My sister got a long sleeve top and I bought myself TWO tops.

Have fun la aku.

ITS OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I AM THE HAPPIEST GIRL ON EARTH.

Lets not talk about the results day. (For science its 26 dec btw)

I've packed my congested cupboard, and folded all my clothes and tudungs nicely, arranging them by colour and type.

I've started packing for Europe!

WAHOO!

My sister came home yesterday, because a girl on the trip got injured. Read her blog if you want to know what happened.

But don't read anytime soon. She's yet to blog about it because SHES BUSY WATCHING PRISON BREAK ON MY LAPTOP, depriving me from the hotness that Scofield is.

She didn't sleep after Subuh and started watching, right until now. Episodes 1-15 (she's watching 15 as I type)

Neh neh! I'm only at 13!

Stop hogging my laptop, woman!!

You know I've always loved 'Live' performances over those MTV-CD-recorded ones. Because that's when you tell the real singers from the lip-synch-ers.

Well she's back and as hot as ever.

Irreplaceable - Beyoncé Knowles

Standin in the front yard tellin me how i'm such a fool
talkin bout, ill never ever find a man like you,
You got me twisted

You must not know bout me
You must not know bout me
i could have another you in a minute,
matter fact, he'll be here in a minute, baby

You must not know bout me
You must not know bout me
i could have another you by tomorrow
so dont you ever for a second get to thinkin,
your irreplaceable

so since im not your everything,
how bout i'll be nothing, nothing at all to you

baby i wont shed a tear for you
i wont lose a wink of sleep
cause the truth of the matter is
replacing you is so easy
